Re: Bushwacka! Appreciation Thread
I spoke to lewis copeland who is co-owner of oblong and plank the other day
he told me that the legend that was Nilz from the exchange (mastering engineer) died in 2011 which i didn't know
he was a significant part of the sound of all the plank and oblong vinyl - bushwacka always said he was a top man
RIP Nilz

Aww, that's sad. Those old Plank! tunes sound so lush now. Loads of depth to them that you don't get with most modern dance music made for the floor. Lament.

the other thing was that the plank studios room was REALLY GOOD
as in acoustically really good (also some great kit)
here's where the magic happened

Re: Bushwacka! Appreciation Thread
Some great stuff in here.
I listened to this which was pretty eye-opening - contains an interview with the man himself about his problems with addiction over the years.
