I've been wondering if there were any Breaks releases which got a lot of Mainstream attention. Radioplays etc like Big Beat back in late 90s/early 2000.
The closest I can remember was Freestyler from Bomfunk MCs, and that's more of a Breakbeat/Freestyle hybrid. But I was a 10 year old snot then so a lot must've gone over my head entirely.

BK - Revolution
Also Doomos Night, lots of Projidy, the Justice vs Simian tune that got labelled breaks by our grandmother Annie Nightingale, Mint Royale's Singing in the Rain. No doubt there are plenty of others but that's just off the top of my bonce.

Not Big Beat but also not Nu Skool. Some Artists I see as classic Breaks are Hyper, Freeland, Future Funk Squad, Cut & Run, Rogue Element.....
Yeah I guess The Prodigy were the most successfull Mainstream Breaks Act for the genre. Good Call.
They too have a very particular style with their Hardcore Ravey influence.
