can you explain this a bit?
is it simply a guide to what happens where?
or is it a loose template of roughly what should happen to the individual elements of every tune?
(within reason)

I hactually have an arrangement that I'm happy with and need to think about this stage now.

I know there are no hard and fasts but is eq > compress > reverb a good rule of thumb?

its just a guide for what you can do to the sounds you probably already have in your tune to make them sound better, depending on what they are and their existing character and tone.

this somehow needs to be translated into a basic template that can be easily manipulated depending on the sounds used.
