£320 to sync your Volcas
the jury is out about this one

i'm as proud as i am embarrassed to say that i knew about this box months ago

the unknown quantity is the USB sync - if it relies on mac driven midi sync then it's a turkey

usb in notoriously bad for timing but roland may have pulled one out of the bag

i would like to see how tight this thing is

i have an sbx1000 and all the sbx boxes (80 + 10) have been tight........

i have a feeling it wont be as good as my innerclock sync gen, but we'll see

tbf it syncs perfectly via midi it's just using w/ a daw that makes it spaz out.

rly? looks good but that using seperate software to get sounds into it is just poor. suppose for the dollar though it's probably better to get taht than the beats one....

the prblem I have w/ midi only set up is getting the variation and syncopation of drums. I guess I should write minimal techno and everything will be ticketybooOoOOo

sq1 x 2 on the way to me shortly......

got me to thinking about sync

lightslappers / landerz you could try recording the sync output of the volca into a daw track

you should end up with a bunch of little clicks

then if you chop these neatly enough and place them at 16th note intervals then send them back to the volca via a spare soundcard output you might get the little blighters to sync...

if it works you could swing the ticks and thus swing the volca

i will put this to the test when i get the SQ1

I have taken to using the sequencer for the 505 to control volca, etc until I can afford a sync gen type affair. Old fashioned and sturdy like a nice pair of starched Farahs.
