Hi guys & girls,

I'm new to this forum but not to the scene. My name is Maurice Steenbergen, I'm now 47 years old, but when I was 19 I had a hit record called "Poing" (if anyone remembers that. Nowadays I work in IT but as a hobby I started an internet radiostation called "PoingFM". I mainly play Breaks, BassHouse, Leftfield Bass, Grime and some TechHouse if it's not too plain.

I'm hoping to find some like-minded DJs that want to join me on this radio adventure and to exchange tracks. I currently only have a Beatport Link account, but most of the tracks are on there anyways I guess?

I use a Pioneer DDJ-400 with Rekordbox, best EUR 250 I ever spend to get back into mixing. I used to have SL1210's with a Vestax Mixer and a bunch of records. Spent tons on that and on my music production studio :) Studio now is only Akai MPC with some stuff on the side. Haven't been able to put out a decent track in 25 years though, even though you can just release yourself.

I do have a TON of multitracks of famous songs that I once wish to turn into bootlegs, but I'm still trying to find out what's the right sound for me. Playing tons of tracks per week on my station is helping though.

Nice to meet you, talk soon.
Maurice.

Gast..... Jij hebt poing gemaakt? Dat was echt een lekker nummer!
Ik ben geen DJ helaas, slechts een breaks liefhebber. Je bent best laat, maar desondanks welkom!

Hi Jimmy, thanks for the welcome :)
I haven't done 1000, i just started counting at 1000 so I have enough digits instead of going 1, 10, 100, etc. I figured I just go 1001, 1002, 1033. So since october I did 33 shows, still a lot next to my dayjob.

Would like to hear some of your mixes, if you care to share.

We're still here anyway! It's nice to see a new face on the forum, this place could use some more energy ;)

I remember Poing very well, it was in that German Techno documentation that I had on VHS, watched it dozens of times. (I was 12 back then) :lurve:
