HTFR ( Hard to Find Records) is a real shop in birmingham. Its fucking massive but I have to say that Chemical Records in Bristol is much better.
KEEP VINYLS ALIVE, DON'T GIVE IN TO CD'S & MP3'S.

Hi all

My first post, the one which is supposed to hurt the most, so here goes.....

Never quite understood why it matters if the shop is online only or a traditional physical premises, as long as you can buy what you're looking for at reasonable prices then why does it matter?

I personally love Juno Records, for its simplistic no thrills layout, the Tesco's of electronic music!

its mainly because record shops are places that not only provide music, they provide communities, places for promoters to put posters and flyers etc and where people can buy music instead of it being manhandled through the post... so support if you can... without them, there wouldnt be much of a dance scene in the first place...

^^^you're right they do, but the same also applies to online websites and forums such as here, in fact you could say they do it better with a world wide audience as they have more scope to get their message / advert across and can bring more people together.

I would avoid giving Vinyl Know How your business. I ordered 100 pounds worth of records 6 months ago in January and they never sent them. I have asked for a refund or the records so many times but have just got excuses in return from Move-Ya saying that they had a computer virus and that they would send out "in a few days". This was a couple months ago and at this point he has stopped replying to my emails. They have no phone number either so its impossible for me to get a hold of them being halfway around the world. Its a shame because I have always respected my fellow lovers of breaks and represent UK breakbeats here in Seattle, WA. I was borned and raised in London and am sad that the Award Winning Know How Records has stolen my money. Now I have to go elsewhere to get fresh vinyl breaks.

Hi, would this be the nearest to me in Newbury, Berks? It's only about an hour-and-a-bit away so not too bad but I wondered if there's anywhere in Berks or nearby?

cheers
