Out of interest, why isn't there one this year?

Last year being in Manchester gave me a hankering for a Breakspoll 2016 in London

No venues, not much interest, costs involved with running the awards, not much support from the bigger DJs, not much support for the music, general lack of interest, general opinions of people about any genuine award winner is very negative, general opinions of why it is run is very negative, etc etc. Various reasons. It might happen this year, but very doubtful. It might come back in the future.

Yeah, the BMAs are weird one, but heard it was a pretty busy event so all good

The biggest artists and DJs would rather support "bass" than "breaks" so there is little point running something that people vehemently do not want to support

I'd rather put my time in to supporting something that people like/want, so focusing on NSB Radio at the moment
