The mighty DeiBeat is funkin' things up again, this time with his new single The Funky Sound. Setting the stage with an 808 kick, a chunky snare, melodic piano stabs, and the lead male vocal, DeiBeat rolls the track into the first break down where he layers in a female vocal and funky synth. At the drop we are introduced to a subsonic bass line that rides along with pulsating waves, accompanied by some new vocoded vocal elements. The drop on this jam is pure fire, another breakbeat masterpiece from a master of the genre.

Off to a great start with that big beat.... would be a blast to Mix that in. The Drop @ 1:14 is pure Nuskool, very intelligent with the teased vocal snippets. There's a lot to dig into here with all the nuanced and well sculpted Fills as well as top notch sequencing. New Drop @ 2:30 "Who got the funky sound"! Mixout @ 3:42 is spot on.
Here we have a four and a half minute tune basically accomplishing what a 7-8 minute tune can do, which is an accomplishment in and of itself.
I would have bought it on vinyl back in the day. DeiBeat always was a hot one, still bringing the fire I see.
