Re: Decision about the forum
reason for new name is coz people don't understand nuskoolbreaks name, NSB more generic, just a thing rather than a nu skool berks thing

Re: Decision about the forum
shouldnt the forum be part of the radio site?
what one gets the most traffic? nsbradio.co.uk or this site ?
have you considered changing the name to noskoolfutureretrowitchbassmusicstep.net?

Re: Decision about the forum
This may be quite brutal but it's hard to know what the forum itself is now. No-one talks about music any more and people who do post events / mixes are lucky to get a response.
There's obviously a following for the radio but sometimes it seems never the twain shall meet between here and there. I personally say move it over to the radio and focus on that.
2 cents of course

Re: Decision about the forum
yeah the radio is doing really well, and with boiler room and shit like that, its having a bit of resurgence, new design should just help that

change is good
anything that can be described as a resurgence has to be good

Breaks are back, haven't you heard Tam?
Being on the NSBRadbro site wouldn't be a bad thing.
Actually, I've just noticed NSBRadio.co.uk is blocked by on my work internet
Still probably not a bad ting

Re: Decision about the forum
Hello. I'd be sad to see the forum close, but it's fair to say it's not very well used these days and I still have conversations with people who are surprised it is still going. So I would plump for a redesign. Name change prob good too. nsb.com sounds fine.
I do think there is still a use for forums - element of anonymity, connection with people without having to see pics of their children, ability to chat about things without your mum reading it etc...
Having said that, needs to be designed with social media in mind - easy to share posts, like comments, log in with social media accounts etc... Also think perhaps some sort of individual profile page people can build up might be good.
We also need more people to post. And less sections (atm imo).

I assumed "use other things" was the drugs option.Doomo wrote:ban, bum, burn

Also, if the conversation hasn't moved past this point in over 12 years then i vote burn the place to the ground.

Re: Decision about the forum
I think that a stronger link to the radio site is probably for the best - its been relatively busy as of late. If we can pull a few more of them in it could give some extra life the place is needing.
Obviously ketcokemandyphetdmt is the proper answer though.

Re: Decision about the forum
I've not really been here much since 2008, only drop in now as back on radio, but would seem to make sense to combine the 2 I'd have thought?
I was born underwater,
I dried out in the sun.
I started humping volcanoes baby,
when I was too young.
