The Beatport Breaks Top 10 - now with FREE flux capacitor set to 2006

Farty softsynth bass - check
Biggest squashed snare EVAR - check
"Scary" / "druggy" vocal sample - check
Generic pointless electro house bleeps - check
Copious riser sound - check
'MASS1V DROPZ!!!" - check

[At least that Dylan Rhymes track has some interesting synth sounds in it and is mixed and mastered nicely]

btw hubie, how much actual breaks can I expect at Bass(sic)?

Should I wear my "I LOVE RAGGA/DANCEHALL/MOOMBAHTON" shirt just in case?

I reckon you'll hear a fair bit of breaks as Bass[sic] & no ragga, dancehall or Moombahton, so I'd leave that t-shirt at home mate.

Fucking what? I was hyped for this event until this news

I suppose I COULD always turn up with my own walkman and listen to as much moombahton as i like? while chipping in for drinks here and there? Cool or not?

will have a think anyway. cheers

oh dear. yes it's all very 2006, albeit with Flux Pavillion wobbles to add to the Electro House bleeps over a stodgy 130ish beat, and the poster who suggested that the top 3 are all very different clearly defines the word 'different' in a way I don't remotely recognise.

Hey ho. As noted though, there are plenty of people out there that making stuff that is breaksy and funky but that (for whatever reason) doesn't come under the 'breaks' umbrella.

eg

OK, I'll ask Merka to do a moombahton set.

Simple, snare isn't on 2 and 4 and is a snare and not compressed white noise

btw it doesn't help posting this stuff on here you know - this stuff killed breaks

you're not helping

*Gives into the ignorance of people that think it sounds like 2006*

*Gives into people that can't tell the difference between a Refracture track, an Elite Force track and a Dylan Rhymes track*

*Shakes head, walks off into a better forum*

Good riddance, we don't want people with less than 1,000 posts anyway. They belong in the Jurassik forum.
