Classic Compilation CDs
Anything you'd recommend from days gone by? Never used to bother with many compilation/ mix cd's 'cos all my cash went on vinyl.
Just ordered "High Altitude Breaks - Level One" for a couple of quid off amazon.
Already have quite a few Y4K's, both Coastal Breaks CDs and Pilgrem's Nu Skool Breakz effort.
Anything else?

Re: Classic Compilation CDs
Also the Uberzone Digital mix was well worth buying on import, one of the best mixes I've heard and got me into the more glitchy sounds that were about at the time.

1 Überzone – Snizl 6:24
2 Koma & Bones – Powercut (Rewired Mix) 3:51
3 Simply Jeff & Überzone – Science 4:14
4 S.I. Futures – Eurostar (Tipper Remix)
Remix – Tipper 3:52
5 EK – Watch Dis 4:13
6 Überzone – Kung Fu
Scratches – Davey Dave 2:29
7 Forme (2) – Kick A Hole 4:22
8 Force Mass Motion vs. Dylan Rhymes – Hold Back 5:57
9 Uberzone & Rennie Pilgrem – Couscous 6:03
10 Überzone – Trapezoid 2:54
11 Überzone – Moondust (Dark Side Of The Moon Mix) 4:34
12 Elite Force – Hi>5 2:46
13 Überzone – The Freaks (Special Mix) 2:37
14 Crystal Method, The – You Know It's Hard (Koma & Bones Mix)
Remix – Koma & Bones 5:19
15 Ils – 6 Space (Next Level) 5:57
Not a bad tracklist...

blimey I'd forgotten about amped. I think they were Australian comps... they were HOOJ when I was a yoot, along with the Lagered seriesCBW wrote:From back in the day

On that note, the Big Beat Elite comps are worth their weight in gold for DJ-friendly beats, a lot of which are rarer than hen's teeth these days. The bonus DJ mixes are a bit ropey, but good fun.
