Most is around 140 BPM, but some go up to around 155 BPM. Has breakbeats or 4/4 beats with breakbeats layered on top.

but breaks (as in nuskool breaks) was music built on sampled break beat loops from the break (ie drum solo) of other tracks.

nobody said those loops had to be sampled from a 'breakbeat' break did they? so if the drummer goes, boom-tish, boom-tish in the break and somebody samples that bit, then isn't that breaks?

it's not breakbeat of course, but then breaks does not = breakbeat. it just features it quite a bit.
