nobody said those loops had to be sampled from a 'breakbeat' break did they? so if the drummer goes, boom-tish, boom-tish in the break and somebody samples that bit, then isn't that breaks?
it's not breakbeat of course, but then breaks does not = breakbeat. it just features it quite a bit.
