Race for Life 10k

Post by miss_kitty » Mon Apr 16, 2012 1:54 pm

The day thread has prompted me to post this and I do hope no one thinks it's too cheeky. I'll be doing the Race for Life 10k this July in Finsbury Park in memory of my nan, in support of my friend Jim, in memory of my mate's brother, Alan and for everyone else who has suffered with or supported / lost someone with / to cancer.

http://www.raceforlifesponsorme.org/nikkirees139

I have always been an active runner but this year it will be an extra challenge as i couldn't walk in December and for most of January as I had a cyst in my hip joint and, on getting that diagnosed, discovered that i have two snapped vertebrae that i've been walking round with since falling down the stairs 10 years ago. that's not to conjure up the sympathy vote but just so you know that i really will be putting a lot of effort in to get round.

all donations welcome and beyond appreciated.

Yeah would really like to find out who that is, it got me quite choked when I saw it.

Cheers Ems, really appreciate it. I haven't been on here in a while so didn't see you were doing a thang. Is your page still open?

that's pretty poor on their part. you can imagine all those people getting pb's and whatnot feeling properly gutted.

How did it go aside from that?
