How long have you been on NSB and what have you done in that time?

Anything not music related ends up in here - a place for our community to chat and joke. You need a thick skin to survive, and don't let the regulars put you off, they're (nearly) all a nice bunch of people.

How long have you been on NSB and what have you done in that time?

Post by SometimesSean » Mon Jul 07, 2008 2:35 pm

Hi I'm Sean, I've been here for 5 years now. Since my first day on NSB I have developed stronger skills in Photoshop, learnt how to use Ableton, DJ'ed in a few parts of the country and around Coventry. I have had a chart in DJ Mag and ran a radio show with Mikey Silo. I've made the transition to digital DJ but mainly I've had loads of pictures posted up of me being a mong. So all in all it's been quite productive being on NSB.

Hi kids, I'm Gena. I've been here for 4 years. Thx to nsb I've discovered a passion for posting random pics. I've also had some of my mixes streamed on diffrent breaks- related radio stations thx to members on nsb :) . At the time I became a member, I was only playing breaks, but as we all know, breaks is now dead so since 2005 I play dubstep ;) Although, for some strange reason, I'm starting to like breaks again, so I'm lurking around quite a lot in the webcast/ mix section to grab the fine selection of nsb mixes.

I have been here 6 years and 1 month ish, which is actually quite scary when I think about it.
I have done far too much to even remember, but it has been fun times

^^defo

the main reason i joined was for the production forums. I have gone from bedroom producer to bedroom producer with a few tunes being released, both vinyl and digitally.

I've also learned a lot about PC's, [s]downloaded shitloads of hooky music from russian sites[/s], met a few people who were "internet" friends that are now "real" friends, co-started a radio station and left it to concentrate on my own tunes, got married in Vegas, posted spy photos of my next door neghbour sunbathing, got kidnapped in spain, became a bodybuilder(in photo anyway), and was fundamental in the biggest board raid U-Turn in NSB history.

what a fucking waste.

Been here 5 years. I've had roughly as many wanks as I have pot noodles.

You haven't had a single wank in 5 years? You must have Blueballs?

I'm a relative n00b here just under 2 years.

In that time I've started up a club night, done many a guest mix for the fine peeps of nsbradio, brap and breaksfm. Bagged a primo slot on NSBradio, learned loads of photoshop nonsense and met loads of very safe people :bo:

In my outside life in the same time period, I've had 4 major operations, battled morphine addiction. smoked hella bink and been made redundant.

all good :D

Crikey, 5 years.

I wonder how much of that I've spent relentlessly arguing for the sake of it.

Oh look... Minimax done a mix!

A mellow mix of ambient, downtempo and experimental music, electronic and organic.
Aids restful sleep and makes a perfect accompaniment for sitting back and watching the walls breath a little.
