original

Pornorockerz rmx

Scapo rmx

Too Dusty rmx

Nocolor rmx

This time are italian electro heroes DISCO SPLATTERS,
in a tight and innovative new-techno style!
"Phunkstein" sounds remember some early 90's golden age techno tracks, driven by straight and powerful kicks drumlines for hitting hard the floors! Despite a different style for usual Dirty Drop sounds , no doubt this tune can easily becoming a 2012 anthem.. in loving memory of Marco aka "Phunkstein", original founder of Disco Splatters crew..

original track coming alongside 4 heavy remixes by spanish psy-breaks skilled TOO DUSTY, in a dark straight breaks production;
the label owner SCAPO (it), that mixing again different vibes in a psy-electro hybrid;
THE PORNOROCKERZ (it) further in depth with another acid techno darky remix;
and finally NOCOLOR (it) that mixes electro with shiny synths in a indie dance attitude for the sunny moment of the ep.

2st 2012 DIRTY DROP single, we still release selected & different stuff and let producers total freedom for theyr style, quality not quantity, as usual !

mastered by Scapo @ DD Studio (except Nocolor remix).

feeds:
Blatta & Inesha : niente male, bella storia!
Congorock: bel pezzo, bei suoni!
doc trashz: figo il pezzo!
mr skeleton: oh Yeah! love it!
the rox: grazie della promo, bel pezzo, support!
"Phunkstein original is an acidic Electro
bomb!!!! TOO DUSTY remix is killer also!!
I'll play, support and chart for
suuuuurrrrreeeee!!!" by Pale Penguin (Vim)
"Straight and strong releas! Too Dusty's version is the one for me! Support for that. 3/5" Clairvo [Nynfus Corporation, MustBeat Crew]

sure, but many long time breaks producers also doing releases that sounding "different", not striclty breaks.
Dirty Drop usually releasing breaks, but also electro and all nuances beetween 2 styles, that's all.

anyway, next 2 dd releases will be strictly breaks again..

No.

A breaks DJ can play anything, because we're all genre sluts anyway - but breaks is breaks (requiring, among other things, a broken beat. I think it needs some swing / funk, too, but that's just me).

All that being said, Dirty Drop releases tend to be full of win, so I'll be checking this out next time I go shopping ...

yes, i'm understanding well what you mean with "breaks=broken beat", but you know that in the last 5/6 years breaks becoming more an attitude, a sound, instead only a broken beats.
pure breaks slowly became a straight 4/4 rhythm, more floor oriented, alongside improved snare/kick impact (less funk & swing/more compressed and tight drumlines).
so its always difficult to recognize the border beetween breaks/not breaks.
maybe we can say that if a track its well produced and it isnt sounding as dubstep,electro,dnb,house,techno and so on... maybe it can be breaks :pimp:
