Yes. I first heard that on a freebie Urban Gorilla mix CD that I got about 10 (ten :? ) years ago. Wish I still had that CD.

That's right. Or if not exactly ten then definitely nine years ago, although I'm pretty sure I was going there in 2002. The early times in the Fez club used to properly twist my head. Back then they had some local DJs playing there; the likes of Jon Wainwright, Ann D and a bloke called Leki. It was this lot, along with the UG residents like Geoff Ticehurst and Muhsin who really got me into breaks 8) (& consequently on to this forum :violin: )

why were they called raw as fuck for a while? thought i read an interview where they said they were tied to a record company and wanted out, so changed their name and fooked off, eventually releasing an album called raw as fuck under the original freestylers name.

but i might have imagined it or they could have been lying.
