Danny McMillan’s forward thinking label returns from a spot in the wilderness with an awesome double sider. Teaming up with fellow Nu-skool pioneer Kev Beber to deliver two truly inspirational and highly inventive tracks of breakbeat driven music.

“Coke/Smack” & “Fall” (on the flip) are punk rock attitude encapsulated in abyssal bass (note – not heavy, deeeeep) with electro trembilngs. Taking breakbeat back to its creative roots, it has a different sound to anything around at the moment, which may well confuse some – but hypnotise all. Nu-Nu skool - Listen and learn.

Good to see In-flight back, I thought Danny gave up on it because people were trying to take over and change the direction of the label?

really feelin this tune except for the dodgy funked up intro (reminiscent of early Chili Peppers - which, incidently, I consider to be a bad thing) that for me doesn't sit well with the rest of the tune and certainly not with other stuff I play. However as soon as the vocal kicks in the tune is wicked. Particularly lovin the breakdown - reminds me of Pink Floyd (which is most definitely a good thing)!

This is a really, really great tune; best on the label since the abyss (3? 4 years ago?)
One major question -where the hell has kev beber been?
