^^reckon he made that 'mistake' on purpose. When they gave him those orders they might as well have said 'shit son slow down weve got dimontezemolo on the phone threatening to not give us any more engine updates if you pass alonso'

Oh please, let the conspiracy theories commence. He mad that mistake because he was pushing like crazy and had he not made the mistake, he would've won the race.
Do you seriously think anyone from Ferrari could contact Sauber without the FIA knowing it during the race?
It's F1 for fucks sake, it's unbelievably hard to make a mistake like that on purpose, without the risk of ending up in a gravel trap, or worse, the wall.

the sport is pretty corrupt though dude, not many competitive enviroments where the "athletes" have the chance to buy their way into a team. Team orders exist and sauber are driving around with ferrari engines in their car, much to their benefit as well i might add. The mistake he made was in a place where he was still able to continue with no real harm so it wouldnt shock me

i'll definately go along with you about the sport being corrupt as hell. Wouldn't surprise me if Ferrari and Sauber did make certain "arrangements" when the contracts for engines was signed, i find it hard to believe they'd be able to do it during a race though.
I wasn't jumping on the comment about teams being corrupt and making deals amongst each other that are bad for the sport, i agree on that.

So how about the China GP then?
best race in many, many years if you ask me, what a magnificent display of racing that was.
Too bad Kimmy's tires gave up in the end, would've loved to see the Iceman on de podium again, but alas.

First half was dull as ditchwater - 2nd half it came alive and interesting to see the diff strategies panning out - Cracking maiden win for Nico.

Surprised it took him this long though, one of the best drivers out there imho.
Was funny to see his cool and calm demeanor disapear and the happy kid coming out after the win, i hardly recognized him!

How about Valencia then?
I always thought overtaking was nigh on impossible on that track....

Yeah, it's always been floating about.

My reasoning why it will never happen:

Shutting down that part of London for 8 days to put all the barriers up. (I'm aware that London shuts for a day every year for the marathon but that's 1 day tops)

Every single manhole cover will need to be replaced/fixed into place, lamposts will need to be moved. Pits will need to be built in St James' Park

No-one will pay for it

One can dream tho.
