Maybe not in Swindon where you only have the choice of Man Utd or nobody. The majority of blokes in general just like football and it's rare when one doesn't. Even if they don't support a team they usually have an interest of varying levels. Maybe not through the season so much but at least at a tournament where the national team is playing.

To not even like any of that seems a bit odd to me and I wonder where the parents went wrong. Next thing, he'll be telling me he doesn't like mashed potatoe or something equally as ridiculous.

I just know people who generally have more of an individualist nature than just pack following morons without their own opinion. Football is a good game if you're in to it, not liking it doesn't make you any less of a man. In fact I would say someone is probably more of a man for having the balls to say they aren't interested in watching 22 blokes attempting to kick a ball in to a net.

I rate you Baglips but you have a very skewed self centred view of the world. Have you considered the fact that you might be a psychopath?

baglips... oh my god

wanting to spend hours on end watching some mega fit men run around kicking a little ball about does not really sound like a very manly persuit to me. it sounds like a pointless waste of time

baglips what is it about football you enjoy? the bright colours? the loud noises?

the more i think about it the more moronic it seems, especially when you factor in that you are basically being stitched up, as fans, left, right and center

it really just a massive money making scheme at the expense of some of the worlds most budget and poorly educated men, for the benefit of some of the world's richest.

No it was my attempt at a humourous way of trying to end what could escalte from banter to argument.

@jung I know its not bad. I said that in my initial post that when you think about it, it's not really that odd but at first thought it's just "What?? How??" The game is pretty much drilled into you at school and even those who don't get into it that much are still up for big tournaments.

You said "don't you think it's weird?" I said "no" because I don't think it's weird. Then you got really upset and started complaining that I always pick on you.
Perhaps getting upset when people have a different opinion than you is more of an indication of being a bit wet than not liking football?

It has turned into a big money making thing but it's in a companies interest to make money. And football is a business. Turns out lots of them don't make money though but that is down to poor business decisions!! Look at Ronaldo and his 80m transfer. All made back in shirt sales alone. Worth it? Of course. The man scores shitloads of goals.

In any business if you can spend 80 million quid and get over 100 million back, then it makes sense to do it. Just becase it's a sport and the people are the tradeable source as opposed to electronics or food, doesn't make it any different.

And just in case I made any sense in this post, I shall strip myself of all standing and say

"get out of the footbal thread and into the kitchen, woman!!"

;)

Not all schools drill football in to you. What a load of old bollocks

I will admit I always think it's weird at first as it's just a shock seeing as sooo many people up here are into football. I suppose the same as somebody in Wakefield saying they don't like rugby or something. I didn't get upset at you having a different opinion. Just the curt 'no' was a bit snooty. Back up your argument or something cos it just seemed arsey.
