Because I think it will be a lot of fun, in fact I intend to make sure it is a lot of fun.
I have seen the Olympic park being built from nothing, first because I used to use the railway line alongside to get back to Suffolk, and now I actually live there. The stadium fills my windows in my flat. Today when I get home from work I will go on my balcony and see what has changed since this morning, there is always something.
I have booked off various days throughout the Olympics to have a party so all my moites can also get the benefit of the closeness of my flat to the stadium, got tickets to go to the park and stuff, and am going to the closing ceremony party in Hyde park to see Blur and The Specials and New Order.
I already have been in the stadium for the official stadium opening ceremony and that was brilliant.
The days when I am at work the big screens around my office will be on and people will be watching over their computer screens and will get excited if we do well and there will be a pleasant atmosphere here.
I think it is going to be a right laugh basically.

I mean I could easily give a long list of things to moan about it - me as much as anyone, my council tax, the disruption, the fact that my rent has gone up, the fact i have to move my car to somewhere down the road as the guy i rent a space off has rented it out to some tourist for a bazillion squid but i can't do much about these things and would much rather focus on the fact that this is a massive event, I am very lucky to be so incredibly close to it and intend to enjoy it as much as i can, generally my approach to most things really.
Thank you. I'll try and draw some inspiration from that.
