Why would you attempt to flog this dead breaks horse in a country as forward thinking as Japan?

My friend is trying to get disco / deep house off the ground in South Korea, when all they are into is cheesy electro house. One of the Plumps got asked to stop playing after 45 mins at a club there because the manager didn't like what he was playing and my friend got fired from one of his residencies.

To get their event (Strut) off the ground they are starting small with no names and minimal money.....Its slowly catching on....

I'm pretty sure Audio Tsunami would have some tips for you.....

Besides, I heard a rumour that if you beat the horse for long enough, it will eventually return to life.

I am not sure, he is in Korea right? Why would he have any ideas here?

What other country shares the most cultural heritage with JP?

Advertising campaigns that say just:

"do not go to this club night"

"do not listen to this music"

"do not listen to this radio show"

etc etc.

Leaflets, posters, fellate promoters, forum posts everywhere.

if you mean by the cultural heritage as in the edm music scenes then, honestly we are not really associated with countries near by such as china or korea. house, maybe. breaks, no way. so people with antenna for music follow the scenes in the us and uk.

heritage wise japan simply doesn't share it with other countries. we imported a lot of items and ideas mostly from china though. using chinese characters partially and chopsticks to eat rice but all this cutual exchange with china started in ad 630 and ended in ad 889 then japan was on its own after that.

someone got smarter huh?

I meant from a grassroots perspective. Not a cultural one.....AT seems to have turned some hearts and minds into his way of thinking in SK. You could learn something in the same way that I learnt loads from Biff when I was starting out as a promoter. Wax on, wax off etc.
