The prem league is no way as good as it was, when Henry, Di Canio, Giggs, Cantona, Bergkamp, etc etc etc were playing, it’s a shadow of that era to be honest, another case of capitalism eating itself. Completely unable to take any kind of long term vision and nurture and improve.

I was watching these old early 80’s games on some shit sky channel and the football in that was all on the ground one touch passing, fantastic movement, there’s barely a single prem league team that has the ability to keep the ball like that, from the games I’ve watched this season noe of em can barely string 4 or 5 passes together. It’s a shocking state of affairs.

I maybe just saying that cos west ham aint in the prem anymore, but the state of championship football is absolutely atrocious……………………..defending, basics, it’s unbelievable and I bet these people are taking home 10’s/20’s of thousands a week, they should be ashamed of them selves.

I would feel the shame if I couldn’t pass a football, while getting paid 100’s thousands of pounds, and in the process clubs with hundreds of years of traditions and supporters were going bankrupt left right and centre.
