It’s just another example of the failure of the “markets” and “market forces”
Rents linked to avaerage wages with a cap or a massive council house building project

Cleansing areas of poor people and putting them into ghettos, will unfortunately have a knock on effect that will cost multiple amounts in the long run, as every “cost saving” exercise of privatisation/thatcherism has shown time and time again.

if only the councils, i dunno, owned some of the housing in their own borough, rather than housing associations. that would be amazeballs.

i cna't afford to live in london either, but then i wasn't born there. if i was, i'd be pretty fucked off being moved to Derby into more temporary accomodation. i'm less likely to find a job as i know i'm there temporarily, the stigma of being one of london's unwanted isn't going to help me find work either.

But hasn't this happened in the history of time........being moved out to the suburbs......maybe the reasons were different before but all me mums family were moved out of liverpool into housing estates in Merseyside...I guess it was easier to find jobs then too tho
