I have people talk to me who invade your personal area. Had one bloke once who kept leaning in so I backed off. He leant in again so I backed off. After the third time, he asked me if his breath smelt or something and I told him straight out there was no reason for him to come so close to me and have his face mere inches away from mine and that I could hear perfectly if he was stood a reasonable distance away.

I'm hoping he looked back on this and realises he pokes his face into everybody he talks to and stops it.

^ that. I at least like to be able to see a person's whole face when talking to them, not just the whites of their eyes.

there's something to be said for cerebral conversation. i was at a party once and a guy was off his face and doing this, talking up close, except i think he believed he could also transmit what he wanted to say telepathically so he would alternate between saying nonsense up close and looking up to me in a hmm? way and leaning back and rolling his eyes and making a deaf people noise then look at me expectantly. i of course obliged and did the same back. i lasted quite a long time before laughing.
