One of the other managers is putting everyone's sickness in a publicly viewable spreadsheet and is encouraging me to do the same. Surely this is illegal? Everywhere I've worked so far has been cool about sickness. You take a few extra days here and there, it's all part of the game, surely?

Sounds pretty bad that. Mind you, "sicky" culture doesn't exist in other countries I've worked in, only the UK :lol:

the home of teh slacker.

however since im freelance im never sick - when i had fulltime jobs even a mild hangover would mean staying home - depending on how much slack they gave me. if teh employer was strict then id do nothing, but left to my own devices ill work hard and take responsiblity tbh
