it appears i am going to France. mid south via paris, then south coast for a laugh, then back.

anyone know of any good/cheap campsites near paris (not near euro-fucking-dis-upnayarse-ney) we can chuck the van for a day or two while we look at french things in paris? carol's never been.

clodhopper bonjour! je n'ai jamais fait du camping campagne française, bien que Battenberg l'habitude d'aller tous les temps de retour dans la journée. si vous allez à Paris assurez-vous que vous mangez beaucoup de fromage et me ramener un millefuille s'il vous plaît. aussi assurez-vous de prendre vos missus vous les Champs Elysées.

It's been a very long time since I've camped in France. But Eurocamp are pretty widespread and have very good facilities.

just looks like they do static caravans now, not any ptiches you can pull the van up to and hitch up to leccy. that's all we need really.

Stick to the left bank for cultural bings, saint germain, etc. So many lovely cafes and bars and stuff. It is still touristy, but it's nice and bohemian and there is loads of wicked street art.

Check out the usual suspects, Tour de Eiffel, the Site du Centre Pompidou, Notre Dame, etc, etc. Also, if the weather is nice, a picnic on Montmarte is highly recommended. It has views over the city and stuff.
