Lee coombs mix

Sonically perfect as you would expect from Lee and a great little set of vocal samples too. Its house of course and as it unfolds it starts to sound like just “another” house tune to my ears but a few minutes in of slight repetitiveness coombsy switches style into a much more percussive bottom end and the full vox pops up just enough to keep me entertained for the full tune and turn it into real music rather than just another dj tool. I wouldn’t play it no, but I don’t play this stuff anyways. But if you’re into this style it will probably be the better tune in your sets.

10 rapid remix

a tougher version that uses possibly the most of the elements of the original out of all the three remixes on this hooj package. Certainly holding a bigger bassline and deeper elements, if you’re a fan of the single noted bassline style of track spanning across 3 quarters of a bar which I know there are a lot of peeps that are. This will be the on you are heading for. If you’re a breaks dj that likes to switch things up and bit and playing the mid set of a night this is your baby.

Rogue element remix

You can tell from bens work over the years he gets very bored of styles quickly, does not pander to his audience and likes causing a bit of mischief. I can honestly say there are not many words to describe this track. Not a single bar of the whole tune is the same, I couldn’t even have the patentice to sit down and write this. The only way I can describe it is this is the only tune that will get the beer soaked sweaty k holed yoot out from lying in the piss trough and back on the dance floor of fabric’s room one and annoying all the pretty ladies. Its fucked up drugs to the highest level. I played supercharged last week and did the last set, which basically means your pretty much balls out ramming speed at that point. Even playing this the crowed looked at me a little worried, the fear in there eyes telling me it may be a step to far and they car concerned what ever comes next as they was still another half hour to go. Which leads me to the next point, this is so heavy and off the wall where the fuck do you go to next to get thing back from “losing control” I would suggest maelstroms beat police house remix, just switch out when the big set of steppy drums hit. Do not play this tune before 2am. auntie sheilas choice

Dolphins remix

Minimal toss, avoid at all costs unless your European, 6 stone and possible bisexual. Uses an emulated TR808 (yes I can tell) toms and percussion and either a 606 drumatix or cr707.

All in all although none of this is esentially my bag, 3 out of 4 will be yours. I was slightly miserable when pember took lot 49 away from the breaks, I still think this package could have done with a mix, maybe chris carter or the beatmonkeys. But with this mack certainly aint following no trends, he is making them.

Probably referring to Dylan Rhymes - I Am Sweet (Hyperion Remix). Fucking massive tune.
