Joined another forum and they have a karma system and I thought it might work here.

To clarify, each user has a +/- rating displayed in the box with user name, post count etc...

Individual members can just click a link under the +/- display to 'applaud' or 'smite'.

Just thought it might be a way of encouraging more useful posts and less mindless trolling.

I'm sure it could have some sort of anti-flood delay setting put on it to stop you from clicking more than once per person per 5 mins or so

Yea you could put a timer or limit on the IP address relating to the user in question.
