Thinking of getting one.

Looks like fun, always enjoyed novation stuff. Like that it comes with automap. Don't like that it is not multitimbral.

I dont have one but I used to own a Supernova II and always loved the sound of it.

I think it's based on the same synth engine as the Supernova series which can only be a good thing

Could look into a Roland Gaia, multitimbrality, more control knobs/faders and a similar price.

always found novation stuff a bit poop tbh. Can sling you a bunch of samples from an A-station and a supernova if you want

if i were you id just get the v station if you want that kind of sound and spend the money on a gaia or mikrokorg, or spend a bit more on a little phatty

Dunno man, the Xiosynth is one nasty little beast, not the most user friendly interface but if you can get around that, bang for buck, fucking grimey :-)

If I was buying a synth in roughly that price range, I think the Ultranova would be my choice. I like touch sensitive encoders, and it has a pretty nice synth engine. The GAIA, Venom, and the other usual option in that price range have more limited front panels I think.

Maybe I just like blue too :)

Jprime showed me that, shame about the mini keyboard and I'm under the firm belief now that EVERY keyboard should have a minimum of 3 octaves.
