Ok....

So I mixed a tune down, when it was complete cubase gave a 'fatal error' message - mix down worked, listened to it it and there's loads of pops, glitches and artifacts. Since then, any AUDIO processing has had the same effect - glitches and shit. Is it a buffer thing?

CPU/vst performance is ok, maybe a touch higher than I'd expect... Halp pls!

hardrive horribly overstuffed? - clean it out

bounce tracks individually and make a new song for the resulting stems

increase buffer size?

does the problem happen with other songs?

VST overload? I had it on some dub stuff because i was running mutliple tape delays (the same vst) on different channels. wasn't a cpu problem either. i bounced down, saved my shiz, reinstalled cubase and it worked.

but then that's kinda my default for faulty programmes, wipe and restart.

hmm

do you hear the glitches during playback? Maybe buffer size set too low or wrong ASIO device selected

do you only hear the glitches on exported material? if so, probably not a buffer size problem I think unless doing a realtime bounce

does the same problem happen when exporting through different effects plugins? if not, maybe one plug in is causing the issue. try turning each off one by one until you find the source of the problem
