Baby Mammoth were great, used to buy a lot of Pork Recordings 12"

Was not aware of the LRD stuff before Darkdancer - sounds good
(I'm not sure that Madonna forced him to do anything against his will)

What did Madonna do? Kabaddify them?

I likes this tune it has good borked beats.

When you say "from your archives" I take it you mean records/tapes/cd's you actually own at home somewhere?

Great tunes man, I'll be scouting more of that out :D

@ Box Hill,

Mark Blissenden / Bliss (part of Baby Mammoth) is a friend of a friend, used to have him and the DiY & Smokescreen lot to play at our free parties in Newcastle circa 93.

Re LRD - The Madonna comment was a joke, but he clearly went a lot more pop/commercial with Darkdancer. I can't see him going back to the old sound now.

@ Doug - These are tracks I own. There's no particular rules on what peeps post. I was more thinking of flagging up old stuff that people may have missed or been to young for... as opposed to classics or things everyone already knows (felt like I was in a long dark tunnel). Although, I suppose I broke the rule with KLF, but hey, it's amazing.

The thread title suggests I was thinking of miscellaneous stuff :chin: it's difficult to tell what I was thinking tbh.

Anyways...

The Nottingham DIY lot? My sister-in-law used to rave with them.

Ejoyed "Chambacu" it reminded me of England's finest Spanish import - Jeanette

with Bernard Manning doing some guvvy work as a Spanish TV cameraman

Yeah man, Digs n Whoosh, Jack, Si + Mark all played at our house parties back in N'am (Fenham4Life Yo)

Mark used to play at that night at The Room in Hull... Had some amazing nights there.

Floppy Disco at the BomB.... I miss the BomB :(
