On the 30th January 2010, Graffiti Breakz will be hijacking the NSB radio waves (with permission of course) between the hours of 1am and 5am.

Not only will we be hosting Syde, The Wrongstars, Nursery of Naughtiness and the NSB Radio Soundsystem DJ’s (along side others) on our main stage, and an abundnce of acts across all three rooms, we will also be streaming through audio and video on NSB radio, so for those who are not based in the UK, you can still experience Graffiti Breakz, The Battle Live! For those sensible souls out there who will be spending that first payday weekend after the festive season with the Graffiti Breakers, you will have the chance to win competitions, be interviewed on the Radio, and be part of what the rest of the world will see at The Battle. Be that face of the night, be that crazy dancer, that sexy lady everyone wants to meet, and show the world, we’ll be live!!

Image

With Live Graffiti Battles, Break dancing Battles, MC Battles, Tap Dancing Breakers, Beat boxers and a line up to make any breaks-heads mouth water, the 2nd instalment at our new home will be a visual spectacle we felt the world should see.

From the beginning of time civilisations and communities have fought. Be it over land, money women or pride, legends have been created form the epic battles throughout history. From Waterloo to Wounded knee, from Berlin to Bunker Hill, and all 3 Ypres Battles hero's and villains alike have arisen from the battle field. Times may have changed but the battle still exists and in the end there is only one champion!

Graffiti Breakz is now bringing the fight to Aldgate. Only we're not resorting to violence and gun's, The Graffiti Breakz battle will be fought on the Dance floors, across the canvases and through Microphones of many men, not to the beat of a marching armies drum but to deep bass, kicks, snares and high hats!

Once again Graffiti Breakz is pushing the boundaries, and bringing an ever more eclectic mix of performance, light and sound. Combining genre blending live music performances from the likes of nursery of naughtiness, top class dj sets from producers such as Slyde , inspiring live graffiti from up and coming uk artists and other skilled performances like a Tap Dancing Breakz team from Talent Time there’ll be something new, even for those who think they’ve seen it all.

On the Rhythm Factory battle grounds you will find features and shows across all three rooms covering...

Slyde – Finger Lickin’ Records http://myspace.com/fingerlickinslyde

Kanji Kinetic - Electrostumulation / Bangface http://www.myspace.com/djkanji

Nursery of Naughtiness – Exceptional Records http://www.myspace.com/nurseryofnaughtiness

:pimp: *ll*l**Talent Time Tap Breakers**l*ll* :pimp:

Usually known for Musical Theatre and Performance based dance, Talent time are a diverse Theatre company based in Heartford. The company, who have been working with West end chorographers for many years and are now bringing their brightest and best Tap dancers to tap out a 140bpm rhythm alongside a big breaks back drop. Tap is a spectacle in its most traditional form, but with an injection of Dub reggae and Breakz, we’re taking this art form to a whole new level. Never been done in a club before, expect dancing with attitude and the Rhythms and speeds produced by the feet of these Dancers is Incredible!

:woo: *ll*l**THE BATTLES**l*ll* :woo:

:guns: The Driving force behind this element of the night, will be the vateran of variation, the master of mash-up, the lover and selector of all styles acoss the board Mr Boy Wonder. The Man behind the much loved Skanks show will be using his influences and tune selection will guide the dance, detail and lyrics i so many directions everyone including the contenders wil be kept on their toes :guns:

 Piece Graffiti Battle
The Bar room will be taken over by Graffiti Artists from all over the country to be crowned the Bar Room Champ. We will not only have the two regular boards going, but with anything up to 5 artists drawing at once, varying in size and shape the live creativity will be rife.
see how north south East and West artists compare!

 Speed Graffiti Battle
On The main stage, it’s not just about visual creativity in this one, it’s about speed. Artists will be given an A4 canvas to work on and 10 Mins to create something unique, inspired and just dam good, and then after ten mins it’s out for your reaction to decide the winner. This crazy show of speed precision and accuracy will be drawn to a soundtrack of beats and breaks from Boy Wonder –Godfather of Skanks Radio.

 MC / Beatbox Battle
Expect to get Slated, Ripped and torn apart by these MC’s & Beatboxers coming down to verbally demolish the opposition, in their main stage antics. Get caught in to cross fire, and they will have you laughing, crying and cheering for more. Again the winner and crowned champ will be on your reaction.

 Break-Dancing Battle
Does exactly what it says on the tin. There’ll be Headspinin’, Top Rocking, 6 steppin all over the dance floor and the stage. Crews from Birmingham, London, and the Midlands are all descending to compete for the GB Breakers title. Have your say on who’s the best, crowd reaction is the key!

:woo: **Compettion** :woo:

For a chance to win tickets to this event check out the competition, and the facebook group for details. Not only will you have a pair of Tickets to the event, but you and all your entourage will added to the express cue, so no waiting in this cold January weather...

We are looking for the best suggestion for a battle theme for the Graffiti Battle in the main room and you will win the tickets, simple!!

It can be any form of battle or duel from Film, TV, History, or just your good old imagination....Anything goes!

All you need to do is post your suggestions on this thread and the winner will be chosen and announced on the Monday 25th before the event.

***Closing date for this competition is Friday 22nd January 2010***

(if the chosen theme is down twice first poster will win the tickets, so as soon as you have an idea get it down as early as possible, you can also have more then one suggestion, so don't be shy)

So get those thinking :burb: 's on...Some of the suggestions we are currently contemplating are...

The Battle of Hastings / Battle Star Galactica / Tom Vs Jerry

See...it can be ANYTHING, the more random the better...get posting

I think this would create some pretty interesting pictures from some of our artists. Can you imagine how messed up the chicken would look if it came from the mind of the guy who drew this...

Now that I'd want to see! It would just down right scarey!
