yeah i think breaks has picked up loads recently, which is cool cos now there's lots of ace breaks tunes around as well as lots of ace house tunes - everyone's a winner

My ideal 'sound' I'd say would be some of the Backdraft stuff from 2004 as well as earlier Stanton's tracks. Nothing (or relatively little) has really leapt out at me since mid 2005 I can honestly say

Hmmm fair enough, since mid 2005 I think the main tracks that have leaped out at me are Mutinys Concrete Soul series (mainly Most and Mathematics), Dogtown Clash - West London Burning and Kicks and Rocks - Shazit. Are any of them flicking your bean?

Each to their own I guess. Ive gone the same way with house music

Ive brought bits and peices of breakbeat since the late 90s, but its only been in the last year that Ive really been feeling many of the tunes. fatter beats, rolling basslines, and im very much into some of the tribally edged, almost techno influenced stuff thats coming out (although the stuff that isnt too intrusive on the old ears). I dont think there is much in the way of housey breaks around though.

there are some awesome electro house tunes out at the moment a tune you have got to check which is a mix of breaks and EH is Pharrels Acid Drop. its a bootleg and fucking massive.
