people should be allowed to like whatever they choose to like

I dont much like the really banging noisy stuff myself but other people do

i would add that deeper music does not need to be boring or drawn out although it often is

its as always in dance music, extremes of each genre tend to prevail

its the spaces between the extremes that are more interesting

sensible post of the year :app:

apparently the blawan and pariah gig last weekend was full of homogenous 20 something dudes in supreme caps and skinny black jeans.

apparently both pariah and blawan played nosebleed hipster techno all night.

did you go? I wanted to.

I saw Blawan @ Glade last weekend, I wouldn't have said there was anything remotely hipster about the techno he played. He mixed up classic Belgian sounding shiz with his own productions and used the two steppy stuff as an entrée to some fantastic evil techno, all bumping along at a relatively OMC pace....... All off vinyl too. One of the best sets I've seen all year to be honest.

It's rave music, who wants to go to a nuanced rave (except Jung of course).

Light and dark timbres, sounds like a fucking right pretentious shit pit to me.

:cow:

I have to agree, it's music to get cunted too , dance like a twat and then go home. No-ones trying to win any awards. (at least I don't think so)
