Some great tunes listed in this thread. Couple of my favourite acid-tinged breaks tunes of the last year have been

I Don't Think So - MKM & GBX
Rock Star - Gooseflesh (Pro 7 Remix)

Can't think of many others, and I think we need more of this kind of stuff, which is why I've just been in the lab cooking up another relentlessly driving piece of acidic powerplod, sorta like Robofunk on Steroids. Will get a sample up soon ;)

LuQuas, I'm liking your stuff at the moment

Ian, I want promos!!!

Right here's our view on the subject:

Is acid breaks the sound of 2009?

Nice little article mate. I'd rather like to steer the definition of "acid" away from simply meaning "303" however as I think that's a bit limiting, and the 303 sound will get tired again pretty quickly if overused IMHO

303 is just where it comes from really ... I'm pretty sure that's what the article says

Of course, wasn't criticising your article because that's very true. More speaking on a personal level about how I'd like to see things develop

fair play ... do you mean you think it should be about acid tracks not created using an original 303? or not about that particular sound at all. cos I think that's kinda the accepted definition of acid? it's my understanding, anyway? interested to hear your thoughts though

Journeyman V's BARRcode: Blood For Blood (2006)

Sounds like there are some psychotic demons stuck in the machines on the original of this, the growlings growing more menacing as the track progresses. 303 goes mental and the bassline turns unexpected corners before it hammers home. A quality late-night release. 4/5 Carl Loben: DJ Magazine (UK)

we love us some acid :)
