Double spacing (used to be called French spacing) stems from proper old skool typesetting and as I said the rise of the use of computers means single spacing is acceptable now as html and the like automatically ignores a double space. It is still used lots though, not by me I have to add. Apparently people with dyslexia prefer double spacing as it makes it easier to distinguish words but that could be bollox.

And yes, the 'alot' thing is wrong but you can't tell these younguns owt :roll:
