I am a sucker for christmas tradition and all the commercial trimmings(not the religious stuff or the media hype/pressure though)
I think it's magical if you can separate yourself from the bullshit

yeah i really like it, especially since my family don't really do presents that much. so the emphasis is simply on chilling out with family and friends etc.

In Belarus is not as celebrated as in UK (US etc), it just family meel tops

We have christas tree and presents on 1th of january

And our father frost have grand daughter to help him out

I thought it was crap 5 years ago, but now, I have a 4 years old daughter, and I find it magical again

here we also have "Saint Nicolas" on 6th December who is the ancester of your Santa Klaus...

I'm not sure how I feel about it.

I agree that it can be magical (helps a lot if there's kids around), but I do feel constantly pressurised by the whole commercial aspect of it, from the start of november.

I have a large family, and lots of friends which means lots of cards and presents, which I find a bit daunting. Before I had a full time job, I used to put loads of effort into making cards and presents for everyone, as well as buying gifts for those people that wouldn't appreciate the crap I used to make :lol:

But I don't have time for that now

Usually Tara and I get each other a few little gifts and get pissed while I get busy in the kitchen.

But this year we might spend it with my Sister and her family, which would be a nice change I think.
