How many extensions have you got and how much do you need to program it? If you need to program it a lot get a Siemens, don't get a Mitel

about 30 - 50 extensions
voicemail for all extensions with stuff like remote access to mailbox, busy/no answer/out of hours greetings.
hold/transfer call, call forwarding, possibly a menu/queue system (although not essential).
programmable buttons on handsets to store numbers/fast access to voicemail etc... caller ID display perhaps, speakerphone yadayada.

I think the key concern for us is minimal maintenance, and cheap/easy to get hold of parts.

Can't be fucked with IP, just seems like overkill for the amount we use the phones, plus I hate the way it goes totally silent when no one's speaking sometimes.

Might be worth my while looking at some phone bills to see if I could offset the cost for a higher capacity internet connection.
