Morning! I am trying something ridiculous today - 24 hour fast. As per the recent horizon programme - eat, fast, and live longer.
Can't have anything till 7.30 tonight apart from
Coffee and tiny bits of cucumber!
An interesting experiment.... Ha ha
Missed this, please summarise the entire program in 100 words or less
Watched the documentary about the Amish that was on a week or so back last night, pretty interesting stuff. The family it concentrated on seemed (mostly) happy, if a little dumb
eating constantly as we do in the west means that our cells are in grow mode all the time, eat less and not all the time and massively decrease risks of cancer and diabetes and all that sort of stuff, plus allow body to heal itself while it isnt running your digestive system 24/7
i have decided it might be a good idea as am finding myself eating a lot of rubbish all the time - pastries, chocolate bars, crisps most days and its getting out of hand! dont want to cut stuff out of my diet so thought would try simplifying it by just not eating at all on certain days!
google intermttent fasting or alternate day fasting, there is loads of shiz about it. or watch the horizon prog on iplayer
basically be healthy and fit at the age of 100 with no heart problems or anything and have a seen physically and mentally active life
