Was wondering whether that book would be shit or not. Now that you've said it's good I will probably read it. Cheers.

In the meantime, can you provide us with a general outline of what it's all abou ( without giving away the ending)?

Basically a history of the working class focusing on thatcher and new labour era policies, the decline in wages, power and representation in the workplace, media and society. It also covers the stereotype of the working class as a workshy underclass, giving examples from media and government view to reinforce it.

Divide and rule they fuel human nature, then sit back with a cigar on and watch while we tear each other apart in search of parity of misery.

Indeed. New Labour turning its back on its roots is poss most sad thing, for me..... Thatcher once said her greatest achievement was 'Tony Blair and New labour....'

They all seem to be part of the same system of disseminating information down to the masses/plebs (us), throughout history we only ever get the crumbs off the table after a struggle. Those who really hold power and sway amongst governments are the problem and the biggest hurdle in the way of real change, even radical leaders with the best of intentions find their hands are tied on certain issues and are eventually corrupted/compromised.
