continuing the oh so middle class theme of this thread.... I just heard on radio 4 that many insurance companies downgrade your comprehensive cover when you take your car abroad.

They recommend checking as many companies downgrade you to third party after 3 days in foreignerland.

It's an OUTRAGE imo.

AA European breakdown policies are immediately cancelled if you visit morocco on your trip, even if you leave the car in Europe and get the ferry over from Spain on foot.

Madness....

you are a top table aficionado! is this the thing where you pay up front for membership and get good deals at various eateries?

No, that's tastecard. Toptable is an online reservation system which restaurants often offer deals through I think.

top table is free. it is brilliant. basically you book through them and then afterwards you review your meal, you get 200 points every time you do this. once you have 1400 points you get a free meal, if you keep saving up points you can have free meals at super seen places, or you can have multiple meals. i abslutely love it. in fact once i sent them a mail as a restaurant i wanted to go to wasnt on there to say i thought they were seen but that this was a bit lame and they gave me some free points. aww. sometimes they have triple point thursday which basically means if you book on that day you get 600 points.

so far i have had at least 6 completely free dinners for two, just paying for wine and a tip.

on top of that lots of places have special deals if you book through them - 50% off, set menus etc etc, plus you can see if places are actually any good by reading the reviews, generally the high rated places do live up to the reputation!

here look - you can read my reviews! http://www.toptable.com/user/reviews/?id=799246

:woo: i is a food critik isnt it
