Not many people who get properly trolled to bits deserve it. Someone puts a video( a piece of their work,free) on youtube = ten thousand racist, misogonystic comments, somebody writes an article in the guardian = ten thousand abusive and hurtful chin strokes on the comments page.
Bacon is right to have a little weep about it but hasnt really suggested any course of action apart from hinting at internetz police.
It's like when a bunch of teenagers shout at you on teh street, do you wag your finger and try to tell them off for being hurtful? Not really becuase you know you're just gonna get a load more shit. The other option is to act all tough and pretend that you're a schiz or something which is jsut a bit sad. Bacon is quite literally saying we are all shits when we have annonnonomity, which is not true, it's just that the people who do like being shits have a much easier route to access their favourite hobby so they inhabit those spaces more often and more readily than other people who have real world concerns.
Much better off joining them TBH that way you don't become a target of their vitriol.
