firstly, i now cycle every day.
and from what ive seen over the last 3-4 months i would have to agree, some of the cyclists in brighton are complete fucking bellends. they shoot on past red lights at major junctions, dont stop at pedestrian crossing, weave in and out of traffic to save themselves 2 seconds (or they could just stay cycling on the outside - its what i do if i want to get past...)
i always make a point to stop at red lights precisely because i used to get nearly run over by cyclists on a pretty much daily basis.
imo:
there are twattish bus drivers that pull out in front of you when theyve clearly seen you coming, but most don't.
there are twattish motorists that cut you up and squeeze you out, but most don't.
there are twattish pedestrians that step out in front of you, but most don't.
and there are also twattish cyclists who ignore the highway code, and unfortunately ive seen more evidence of this than any of the above.
i have also learnt that kicking someones car really fucking hard is a great way of getting them out the way again if they get a bit close
