Stop being so miserable, you cunt!
Andy did a great job at keeping Federer honest and if it weren't for the roof closing, i don't know if Federer would've taken it.
How's about being proud of the job he did? Ok, so he lost the final, but how long has it been since a brit was in the Final anyway?
This match makes me even more convinced that he will claim his first mayor soon.

Far too much being made of the roof closing IMO, it doesn't change the surface they're on - a surface federer has pretty much dominated on for the last decade. He was always going to win that match, I do think Murray should be pleased with his performance though. If Federer had a real off day he could have won, but playing well he's simply too good.

Lendl has only been in place for 6 months, so will be interesting to see if he can help Murray reach the next level.

I am over the moon that Federer won :D

Murray is Scottish. We are English. Now usually, you will back anybody from the home nations as you want them to do well. For instance, I was behind the Irish in 1994 USA as we weren't there. I wanted them to do well. Federa seems like a nice bloke so why on earth would we want some sour faced Scottish fucker (who once stated that he backed anybody but england) to beat him? He has no character. McEnroe was the king of mardy fuckers but he had character. He had showmanship, same with people like Balotelli. They are unpredictable.

Murray is completely predictable. He would no doubt sit there with a glum face getting a blow job sandwich from Miranda Kerr and Adriana Lima. He has been about for a few years now and never done anything to make me like him as a person so he can go fuck himself.

so, no change in breeze, atmospherics, humidity etc? it's not the surface, it's the way the ball moves through the air.

i think the break helped federer tbh. i think also the experience he has of the pressure will have helped. Murray now has that experience. he seemed to come out the gates charging, and federer waited for him to run out of steam and make the slightest of mistakes, which federer then punished.

thought murray was ace tbh.

oh, and brooker makes a good point about him not having to be an entertainer in his blog today.

Not really, on that basis an outside clay court would play the same as an outdoor grass court, outside hard court etc. having played a lot on pretty much every surface you can think of (clay, hard, grass, carpet, astro) I can tell you the surface makes all the difference.

Also, have you sat in centre court? Even with the roof open there's not that much air movement.

Well yeah, that's why i called him a brit......
Seemed to me like the crowd was happy with Murray and he was happy with them, so your comment makes no sense whatsoever.
And that sour faced Scottish fucker is going to be your best chance for a major win in the next few years......

Ok, then how do you explain that prior to the roof closing, they where on par, but after the roof closed, Federer was stronger?
closing the roof has a major impact, why do you think it took another 20 minutes after the roof had closed, before they resume play? if it made no difference, they could continue right after closing the roof.

He has nothing to do with me  As I said before, he is Scottish, I am English. It's no different to Federer being Swiss.

Some people might want to jump on the British hype but if he was born in England then they wouldn't be calling him a Brit then. They have just adopted him because they have fuck all else. I think it's just shit that people do that.

Well, how do you explain all the matches where Federer has come back from one or two sets down to win?

ignoring the roof shiz, I agree with this. Murray played brilliantly under the circumstances and should benefit greatly from the experience imo :)

Even if he doesn't go on to win Wimbledon in the future he has done what no other British player (or the majority of pros in fact) has been able to do in the last 70-odd years so you have to respect that.

to be pedantic (what, me?) it's english males singles. not doubles, we (uk) won this year, or, as was pointed out by my wife, Virginia Wade won in 77.
